Why We Built This Site
West Virginia record access depends on both the record type and its custodian. In Doddridge County, the Sheriff's law-enforcement office handles its own incident and arrest material. The Circuit Clerk keeps felony dockets, judgments, and sentencing orders, while the Magistrate Clerk handles misdemeanor files, criminal complaints, and many early felony and bond records. WVDCR maintains the regional-jail search, and the West Virginia State Police Criminal Records Section administers fingerprint-linked state histories. We bring the verified request routes, office details, legal limits, and official search tools together so those differences are easier to follow.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected with Doddridge County, any West Virginia court, the Sheriff, West Virginia State Police, or another government body. Those boundaries mean we cannot provide government services:
- We cannot issue a certified court file, criminal history, or other official record
- We cannot submit a West Virginia FOIA request or an expungement petition for a reader
- We cannot run an official fingerprint check or retrieve a record for someone
- We cannot interpret a charge, warrant, or expungement rule as legal advice
- We cannot promise that an agency's address, fee, phone number, or procedure has not changed
An official copy must come from the office that maintains it, such as the Doddridge County clerk, the Sheriff, WVDCR, or West Virginia State Police.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes found on some pages. Each provider controls its service, results, and prices. If a tool leads to a paid enrollment, this site may receive a referral fee, which helps fund public access to the reference material. We neither set partner charges nor decide what their results contain.
