1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government connection. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve records, conduct official background checks, or file documents on a visitor's behalf.

Its role is to identify custodians of Doddridge County criminal records, including the Sheriff, the Circuit and Magistrate clerks, the West Virginia State Police Criminal Records Section, WVDCR, and the West Virginia State Police Sex Offender Registry. Public-body requests are governed by the West Virginia Freedom of Information Act, W. Va. Code §29B-1-1 et seq.; repository dissemination is separately limited by W. Va. Code §15-2-24.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site is conditioned on an agreement not to:

• Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools against these pages
• Violate a federal, West Virginia, or local law
• Stalk, threaten, or harass another person with information found here
• Use site content for a hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decision
• Attempt unauthorized entry into any site system
• Disrupt service or interfere with another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No person may use information from this website or a linked tool to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also violate the law. This restriction is especially important for West Virginia State Police Sex Offender Registry information. West Virginia's Article 12 registry serves public protection rather than retaliation or extra punishment. Registry data must never support vigilante acts, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not prepare background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Its advertising partners likewise do not offer tools here for evaluating job applicants, rental applications, insurance risk, or creditworthiness. Information from this website or a linked tool may not be used to:

• Set insurance premiums or evaluate creditworthiness
• Make hiring or firing decisions
• Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
• Determine eligibility for a permit, license, or government program
• Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

When a lawful purpose requires such a report, use an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or the official channel specified by the West Virginia State Police Criminal Records Section.

Site content is general information, not legal advice. Descriptions of Doddridge County record procedures cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement law applies to one person's facts. A licensed West Virginia attorney can provide that advice.
